Beachfox sunscreen

Have you seen these cool looking, brightly coloured, handbag-sized bottles around? Beachfox SPF50+ Daily quick-dry clear spray sunscreen comes in four fresh, uplifting (but subtle) scents – Coconut (the bestseller), Vanilla, Lime and Grapefruit. Australia is the gold standard for sunscreens, and it’s not easy getting the required Australian TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) approval, so this lightweight broad-spectrum spray deserves some love. Always read the label. Follow the directions for use. When using sunscreen always wear a hat, protective clothing and sunglasses. Avoid prolonged high-risk sun exposure. Reapply sunscreen frequently or use in accordance with directions.

Uula by Le Studio Parfum

Mother and son duo Tandy, a pharmacist, and Kyle, a creative designer, have created four small-batch, luxe perfumes, inspired by the Northern Beaches and made in their lab in Clareville. The sustainably sourced ingredients are blended and decanted into stylish bottles, and fragrances range from exotic Midnight Rose, to Santal Soiree, a delicate day and night scent.

Wanderlightly

Made by hand in Mona Vale is award-winning mindfully created skincare range, Wanderlightly. Founder and Earth Custodian Sarah Tait says she makes her skin and body care products in small batches, ‘to keep them as fresh as possible which also allows me to keep ingredients out that might not be as low tox’. Gift packs are always a winner and she says the smaller items like the face masks and bug balms are great stocking stuffers with purpose. She also offers workshops and private sessions. Ernest Solid Colognes

You might have seen and smelled these sleek tins of solid cologne at Manly Markets.
